COURGETTE

This wonderful courgette was bred in Syria by Future Seeds of Aleppo.  I bought seed as the civil war was escalating in 2011.  Little did I realise at the time how endangered this variety might become. Unlike so many courgette, this marrow type is very flavoursome with a high fibre content.  Delicious when eaten no longer than 15cms, grows and fruits over a long season.  Trailing habit, prolific.  What’s not to like!
